Today’s trax of the day comes from Annabel Allum, a rollercoaster of raw emotion, journal musings on rainy days delivering some modicum of what comes after the dust has swept away on rock & roll. Getting her grit from playing pubs, Allum’s sound takes alt-brit esthetics via The Editors and blends them with west coast post-grunge, whether all that sonic space takes you back to PJ Harvey or Cobain or to new comer Courtney Barnett, Allum has clearly tapped into a global western sound that can be found amongst the troubadour spirits of the song cannon.
Annabel’s “Altar to Alter” is out on her New EP ‘Gravel Not The Grave’ out 13th September via Killing Moon Records. Spiraling her way through the UK, stay tuned for local show announcements!
