HERE WE GO MAGIC – FALLING

ELEVTRTRAX OF THE DAY

11700778_10152911743246805_3262405800140648549_o“Brooklyn’s own Here We Go Magic’s single, “Falling,” is a tour de force of telecaster abuse, blasting organs, and a gaggle of vocals all set to full-speed! (Well, not quite, but read on to find out what I mean here.) So the self-aware mistakes make this ear worm have qualities I haven’t exactly heard a lot lately, at least not in the context of, in your face pop—like the detuned vocals and meandering synths—they add a subtly I’m not patting myself on the back for noticing.

Falling starts on a zero, white noise, takes off straight to an eight, chaos, goes to a ten, to the moon, and ends abruptly right where it started on zero with an experimental vocal murmur. Their parade leaves a town in a mess after a 4 minute epic celebration! On a first past, I caught HWGM sing the line, “the ordinary appear to be falling in love.”

So the question is, are you ordinary? Or are you in love?

Their record drops October 2015, and every time you purchase a Brooklynite’s record, a pop star glossing over their own articles, gets gas in the ass.”
