This weekend brings NYC some fire summer concerts. Friday we got Kendrick at Prudential Center in all its glory, comedian Russell Peters holding it down for your weekend comedic relief, an annual MJ dance party at Irving, while Adult Mom makes the DIY scene look promising at Silent Barn over on Bushwick Ave. If you’re really ready to party Saturday and Sunday Afropunk (no we won’t turn down) is back with another amazing lineup, while brass popups, soul, jazz, and reggae nights round off the best of Saturday. Sunday Gnawa musicians pull you into a trance with Innov Gnawa finishing off their residency at Threes Brewing, while two after hours jazz jams bring the Sunday vibez in August to a rest.
