“Nothing short of a year-long endeavor brought Brooklyn shoegazers Tiiidal from obscurity to their first EP release out today. The Flood EP (as named after the first song) is a collection of songs that expands on single “Meridian“ in more lush fully thought out pieces, the aforementioned title track reaching the 6 min mark. The dual-vocal work of Taylor and Smith really get to shine on other tracks like “Those Three Words” while we get a taste of Jordan Taylor sung tracks; by way of “Better.” Tiiidal is our artist in residency and we’re proud to also announce their various list of news items for Sept 29th, 2015—deemed as “Tiiidal Day.” The Flood EP is available via their soundcloud or bandcamp and now up on iTunes and Spotify. They were also picked to help represent the NYC scene via a documentary by Decompoz Magazine and that video is out today on their site, be sure to check out the extended filmed feature, and last but not least they also are opening for Teen Men this weekend at Black Bear Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Teen Men were on tour with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah this year and are playing a headlining show here at home that Tiiidal is opening on, tickets are selling fast but are still on sale via Songkick or Ticketfly, this event is also listed on our DoNYC calendar of NYC’s top events. Check out The Flood Ep and be sure to share it with friends!”
