“Snowmine’s sophomore release is getting more rotation on my speakers this week, they certainly have a mastery to their stew of sonic-scapes and lush layers, as well as a steady business model approach that has fueled their success, which, is a big part of why I think they stand on a platform of their own here. (They even give 10% discounts to students!) I’ve never seen Snowmine do a show they weren’t involved with or released material without a very encompassing aesthetic in mind. Dialects is a 42-min journey of orchestral flight, large synths, lush guitars, it’s less-and-more in many ways than their debut record Laminate Pet Animal, and frankly, better.”
