Reonda – Moon EP
“There’s so much more said about a chord change than a person can ever say. Reonda, a folk-based artist from Brooklyn that can shatter your heart with just her fingers moving across a fret board. On her latest, Moon EP, her material floats about the ether from the vantage point of a NYC street at night, the self-described body of work says to the sojourners listening: “Something you can actually hold onto… for those who enjoys holding onto things.” While the poetic lyrics on ‘What I’ll Be Doing New Year’s Eve,’ Reonda captures the insecurity of time, she is singing:
New year’s almost here, rumors everywhere
I hope you have no fear, we’ll make it through my dear The world won’t disappear, if it shall I will be near Right by your side I’ll lay, together we’ll be okay The world won’t disappear, if it shall I’ll still be near Right by your side I’ll lay, together we’ll celebrate Happy new year |
Reonda is a village in Kehtna Parish, Rapla County in northern-central Estonia and a heartbreaker writing tunes in New York.
