It’s Hard to believe that the Spring equinox kicked things off with snow, it seems Melt Fest had a higher source lol’ing with us! This Sunday night we hosted 8 shows in 2 venues, from the ambient noise of No Shoes, the brilliant limericks of Oh Golly, to Madam West’s incredible energy filled set that set up a great experimental set for Dizzy Juice. Soundfly stopped by to hand out Kazoo’s with discount codes for their online music courses and bands that were playing the evening portion showed up at Baby’s All Right to show support for the first ever Melt Fest: the day long festival we proudly supported development for with Sophie Chernin of Madam West/No Smoking Media, and Jhaye James of Indie Bushwick. Big thanks to sponsors DoNYC and Soundfly for the free ticket giveaways, merch, and promotion and all of the fans who came out to both shows and the bands for supporting one another!

After having a banging meal at Bed Stuy’s Black Swan, we made our way to C’mon Everybody for the evening portion kicked off by Frog’s Alt-Country janglyness, follow by A Bunch Of Dead People’s high energy Krautrock, Soul, Funk, Afro-Cuban Santeria, Dance Music, setting up Big Figment who brought on the weird danceability with their funk ambient soul jams, and Young Runner who were a floor thumping rock band easily a CBGB’s regular ten years ago closing the night. Stay tuned for individual performances likely summed together on our youtube page for convenience.
