ElevtrTrax Of The Day – Layne Underwood – June 3
Just shy of three days of posting this review to make something adorable happen, but just so know, it is easy to fall into Layne Underwood’s esthetic. It helps distinguish his folksy music to learn he mostly loops all of his live shows, what chutzpah! The group vocals seem so less pop-folk given the almost straight down the line quality. The lushness is reserved instead for the sweeping violin movements, –which can move mountains for me. I think any artist that can manage to sound great on more than one instrument and (seemingly play them simultaneously) deserves a brownie and an album purchase, something you can simultaneously do at a show.
