“JJ Byars has a way of eliciting long roads and monuments. On a rare cold night during an exceptionally warm November 2015, JJ took to the Pete’s Candy Store stage, this time being accompanied by the graceful vocals of Erin Web (who he happens to be dating) enjoy our second and last song, titled, “Everything Explodes” that we filmed in part of our month long pop-up coverage, where we show up and film your shows to help document an ever growing and yet equally struggling NYC music scene. We hope that by making these moments captured in the sap of time, that we can not only serve as beacons for the brilliance of the people and music of a scene but carry the strength in us to also then document all that is left when the vacuums of corporatization swallow them whole.”
