Elevtrtrax Of The Day – Momo – A Novel Light That Changed
Momo Ishiguro has an unmistakably smokey soulful voice, like an ode to Sade and Mariah Carey set to a full moon. Momo takes her latest work to an 80’s-pop and r&b feel: a resurgences height captured by the likes of bands like Poliça and continually redefining the use of drum machines and keyboards in the modern age, amongst the esthetic the role of a female in that conversation. But only one this is certain for me, if you sound like Ishiguro, I don’t care what damn genre you’re singing in.
