Buke & Gase wasted no time last night blending a stew of improvisions, they were joined by the incomparable Noga Shefi on the bass, Yuka Honda (Cibo Matto) on keys, and Qasim Naqvi of dawn of midi on drums. Some funny moments included Arone Dyer passing Post-it notes to the crowd asking them to write subject matter for the band to adlib to, it was a playful and fun way to take the improv element into a theatrical jest ripe for Buke & Gase’s instrumental frenzy.
