Pollock once said “Painting is self-discovery. Every good artist paints what he is.” I believe artist Haich Ber Na (formerly Haich) embodies this mantra. His new single ‘Nowhere Like It’, surrenders noise to the hand motion giving life to things that aren’t alive so much as surrendering life through the human imagination. His latest is from the EP ‘Everywhere’s Home’.

Working alongside artists such as MTMBO, Alxndr London and Elheist, Haich Ber Na is creating art for lo-fi experimental heads with high-fi delivery while pushing esthetic boundaries in film and self exploration through mediums.

Adeptly described by those that need to place him somewhere on a map, “A bit of dancehall, soul and indie-pop, fused with UK dance and psychedelic electronic sounds.” But Haich Ber Na follows the role of the artist. He is projection and music is his canvass, what we hear is what he is metabolized at this stage in his life.

According to Haich Ber Na, ‘Nowhere Like It’ originally started as a Jam with his friend. “We only had a keyboard, simple bass line and a drum loop. I really felt there was something special in it, but I get bored easily so left the song alone. After a few days I came back to it and downloaded an old software, Audacity, slowed the whole song down and chopped it to death. All of the gaps in the song came about this way which I’ve grown to love.”

If you’re really looking for a treat watch the video, it’s filled with classic cinematic directing and will have you needing to digest the metaphors, a video that goes beyond the song to live a life of its own that’ll have you seeing fragments of its imagery upon listening to this work again.

‘Nowhere Like It’ is available on all online platforms today and expect ‘Everywhere’s Home’ EP October 16th 2019.
