“Landing is a band from New Haven Connecticut and i’m late in coming around to them because check this, they’ve been producing records since 1998. Listening to their latest, ‘Thither’ is a gateway into their discography– a vault that has been encapsulating era’s notably rich for guitar driven rock and yet their work has fully hit a high note in 2016. On ‘Thither’ the waves of euphoria pulsate being guided along by a steady and light tapping of the ride cymbal, Adrienne Snow’s vocal acquiesce to the pull of the pedal saturated guitars. I cannot help but think of some moments from Thrice’s Air EP from The Alchemy Index, and perhaps it’s the imagery, but air in fact is a fitting metaphor that comes to mind when listening to Landing.”
