JimboTTT4

Never overstated, often understated, Jimbo (aka the artist formerly known as ill Jimbus) produces groovy DIY textures that sound like an island surrounded by fog and densely thick trees. We first discovered his preposterous debut titled Electronic Breakfast: Jazz For Your Soul earlier this Spring, and he’s back creating his signature electronica, often groove-founded with room for quirk like the occasional drunken vocal, though the rhythmic poly-rhythmic wonderland he creates is anything but sloppy. On “ttt4” the pitch shifter strings set the song into motion before falling into the lap of an electronic kit that sounds more like something Glasper would sound like if he replaced all his soul drummers for a Roland. We featured Jimbo when he was still “ill Jimbus” (we still think he’s pretty damn ill) and will continue featuring this inspiring one man talent.
