“It’s almost refreshing to hear a good baritone again since the surge of Morrisey-esque Interpol-Editor days. Stillwave’s music features two angular guitars hard-panned left to right, the smokey baritone of the Dutch outfits lead singer, and finally that pounding rhythm section. This alternative/shoegaze trio is based in Utrecht and “From Here” harkens back to the Indie Rock I remember fondly in my mid-twenties roaming NYC.”
