The music can’t sustain itself if the people can’t afford to live here. Musicians have just as much of a duty to demand for affordable housing as do residents who aren’t in their circles, so when/if you think I can’t get involved in that sort of affair, “I don’t have time,” I work my day job then do music, or music is my job, it’s a false equivalency because what’s a job worth that won’t help you pay to live where the job exists or better yet pay to let you have the freedom to make the art you love?
